I developed ZoD Sauce products for people who want healthy food with a flavour that is as robust and uncompromising as they are.
Original ZoD Sauce is 100% Aboriginal owned and made. It contains all natural and organic ingredients, most of which are locally grown or supplied. And those ingredients produce a complex and piquante taste with hints of buttery olive, sweet mustard and a garlic finish. The taste of ZoD Sauce is robust, spicy and potent – and isn’t like any of the sauces you may have tried. It has a very full-bodied flavour, with a clean, tingly finish. That means you’ll measure the amount you use in drops – not splashes! Because ZoD Sauce isn’t only a hot sauce – but an amazing flavour enhancer when used in very small amounts. ZoD Sauce is about enhancing – not eclipsing – the flavour of whatever you’re enjoying. And for those of you with food allergies, you’ll be glad to know that ZoD Sauce is wheat, nut, gluten and milk product-free! ZoD Sauce is all natural, with no artificial stabilizers. So for best flavor, it should always be shaken first, then added to your food – and always just a few drops at a time.
Z-B-Q is 100% Aboriginal owned and made. It contains all natural and organic ingredients, most of which are locally grown or supplied. The taste of Z-B-Q is a mix of dark plums, mesquite smoke and ginger, with a sweet finish. The taste of Z-B-Q is robust and intense. That means you’ll probably use less than you would with a conventional barbeque sauce. Z-B-Q is for serious Bar-B-Q lovers. It has a thick, rich consistency and doesn’t run off whatever you’re grilling. In fact, Z-B-Q’s best flavours come out when the heat is most intense. For those of you with food allergies, you’ll be glad to know that Z-B-Q is wheat, nut, gluten and milk product-free! Z-B-Q is all natural, with no artificial stabilizers. So for best flavor, it should always be mixed first, then added to your food.
Zarinade is 100% Aboriginal owned and made. It contains all natural and organic ingredients, most of which are locally grown or supplied. Zarinade is for marinading and dipping. The taste of Zarinade is a mix of dark cherries, a smoking fire and roasted marshmallows. When used creatively, Zarinade is not like any of the sauces you may have tried. Whether you use it as a marinade for meat, dipping sauce for fried snacks, or as a sandwich condiment, Zarinade adds a refreshing taste that’s both distinctive and unusual. It’s the marinade sauce that’s much more than a marinade! And for those of you with food allergies, you’ll be gald to know that Zarinade is wheat, nut, gluten and milk product-free! Zarinade is all natural, with no artificial stabilizers. So for best flavour, it should always be shaken first, then added to your food.
ZoD Sauce products were developed for people like you. People who want healthy food with a flavour that is as robust and uncompromising as they are.
And ZoD Sauce products are 100% Aboriginal owned and made. They contain all natural and organic ingredients, because as a Condiment Connoisseur, you care as much about your health as you do about great taste. You’ll also be glad to know that ZoD Sauce products are pure vegetable bliss – and are the perfectly healthy way to bring lots of great flavour to both your vegetarian and meat dishes.
Why ZoD Sauces?
Because you won’t compromise on your enjoyment, or your health.
Many customers have written to me, describing their elation at being able to eat ZoD Sauces to their heart’s content – despite their very rigorous and difficult dietary regimes. These have included people with diabetic symptoms, food allergies, stomach ulcers and chronic heartburn.
A customer with diabetic symptoms wrote saying that he had given up on hot sauces, barbeque sauces and anything similar, because of the impact on his blood sugar. He then related the story of when he was visiting with someone who had used Z-B-Q and Original ZoD Sauce for their dinner’s main dish. The host was not aware of the potential health impact on her guest. However, my customer ate a tasty and satisfying meal – with no significant spike in his blood sugar. He complimented his host on the delicious dinner, after which she showed him the sauces she had used. He was amazed that something so delicious was available to him – and so kind to his body!
Another customer told me that he could never eat “hot sauces” – because they upset his stomach. He said he suffered from chronic indigestion and heartburn. However, after trying Original ZoD Sauce, he discovered that it was the best tasting hot sauce he had ever tasted – AND – he could eat as much of it as he wanted! Just recently, I received a telephone call from his partner, saying that he had grown to love ZoD Sauces so much, that it had become a staple in their daily diet….
Please remember that preparing great food is all about simplicity and intention. I believe the most satisfying dishes you’ll ever prepare are those that you create from a desire to give and be your best – which might include some ZoD Sauce products, as well…
Remember that ZoD Sauce is not like any other sauce you’ve used. So you’ll want to experiment with it. Whenever you add ZoD Sauce, shake well (see note below) first, and always start with what you think won’t be enough – because chances are, it will be just right. Many customers have confirmed that there is a point at which ZoD Sauce seems to suddenly transform the dish it’s added to. So the best approach is to keep adding a drop or two until you suddenly exclaim “Oh My ZoD!”.
NOTE: ZoD Sauce doesn’t contain any stabilizers or emulsifiers to make it look pretty. In fact, it doesn’t contain any chemicals or artificial ingredients at all. That’s why you’ll need to shake it a little before using it.
Original ZoD Sauce is typically used as a flavor enhancer. That means it can be added to just about anything – other than desserts. Pasta sauces, stir fries, sandwiches, soups, stews, vegetable wraps, mixed drinks and just about anything else you can think of.
Z-B-Q is thick and hearty, and is intended to be used on the barbeque. However, it can also be used in a fry pan, or oven roaster – wherever there is open flame or significant heat. For the barbeque, use it on any kind of meat, or vegetable skewers. In the fry pan, use it with portobello mushroom slices – or anything you want to impart a dark, smoky flavor to. In the oven, it’s great as a basting sauce for meat loaf, chicken or anything you’d like to infuse with a barbeque flavor – without the barbeque!
Zarinade is a marinade and dipping sauce. It’s great with perogies, appetizers, pot stickers and shishkebobs as well as meats such as lamb, buffalo, venison, and turkey. Use it wherever you’d like to impart a fresh, fruit-like flavor with a tasty zest!
I created ZoD Sauce in response to what seemed like an endless search for healthy, natural, flavourful sauces for domestic and wild game. I wanted something that was full bodied with fresh home grown ingredients…something that was capable of dramatically enhancing the natural flavours, while bringing with it a tantalizing wake-up call for my sleeping taste buds. After trying countless commercial products, I decided to develop my own.
I began by serving my first product, the Original ZoD Sauce, to family and friends. The feedback I received was overwhelming…everyone loved it! My sister encouraged me to share it with as many people as I could, starting with those who are as passionate about their food as I am. As a result of the unwavering positive feedback and my passion for healthy, great tasting food, ZoD Sauce has expanded into multiple products.
ZoD Sauce is about the return to basics. It’s about the love of preparing food, the love of the taste of food and of course the love of serving and sharing delicious and healthy food with the people I cherish most in my life.
It’s all about the Sauce.
Privately, and directly from me.
I create my sauces in small batches, in response to custom orders.
The price is $15 each.
The ingredients are listed on the product label. If you have any questions or concerns, just send me a note and I’ll be happy to help.
